Regional Planning Commission

The Salida Regional Planning Commission (RPC) meets as needed on the third Wednesday of each month and at least once every quarter. These meetings are held in the City Council Chambers at 448 E. First Street, Suite 190, and begin at 6:00 p.m.

The RPC is composed of three members from both the Salida Planning Commission and the Chaffee County Planning Commission.

The powers and responsibilities of the Salida Regional Planning Commission include: 

• Direct growth in a manner consistent with the City of Salida and Chaffee County Comprehensive Plans
• Provide the City of Salida with approval of new development
• Coordinate planning efforts between the City and County
• Advise, consult and involve owners of private property affected by agreements in the planning activities
