Boards and Commissions

City Council has established certain boards and commissions that play an important advisory role and/or rule-making function to support City government. Members of our boards and commissions are valued volunteers.

Visit each board or commission page for an overview of their purpose and function. Full details such as the purpose, membership, terms, appointments, and procedural details of each board or commissions are defined in Chapter 2 of the Salida Municipal Code.

In addition, special committees may be established for the purpose of advising the City Council, departments and department heads, or for the purpose of operating City enterprises or representing the interests of the City in various private enterprises.

Serving on a City board, commission or special committee is a great way to get involved and give back to the community. Each year there are positions available on a variety of the boards and commissions.
