Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center Moves to Yellow

Chaffee County is moving to the Yellow on the COVID-19 State dial starting on Saturday, February 6th at 9am. This change allows the Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center to increase our swimming capacity and make more spaces available to our community. When the Aquatic Center opens on Saturday 02/06, we will be able to accommodate 10 people in our leisure pool and 12 swimmers in our lap lanes. We will also be increasing our Aquatic Fitness Classes to 10 participants.

On Monday 02/08, we will open our brand new, beautiful locker rooms for our public to use and enjoy! Lockers will be available to rent but they will be limited and enjoyed on a first come first serve basis. When possible, we still encourage our swimmers to come ready to swim to limit capacity of our locker rooms.

Even though we are increasing capacity at our Aquatic Center, we are still maintaining a high standard of sanitization and will be cleaning our facility and locker rooms every 1.5 hours. Our community’s health and safety is of the utmost importance to us. If you have any questions or concerns about our Aquatic Center reopening plan, please contact hotsprings@cityofsalida.com. If you have any questions or concerns about Public Health related matters, please contact Chaffee County Public Health at 719 539 4510.
