Aquatic Center Phased Reopening Plan and Community Survey

Salida Parks and Recreation is actively monitoring our Chaffee County and Colorado COVID-19 rates to safely plan for the days and weeks ahead. While we cannot be certain of the future path of this disease, our decisions will be driven first by prioritizing the health and safety of our community and using the best information that is available to proceed cautiously.

Our phased opening is contingent on the county staying in the level designated as “Safer at Home”. Once the COVID-19 numbers remained stable for a 14-day period, the Salida Parks and Recreation staff will consider moving into our next level of reopening for the Aquatic Center.

This level will include:

• Opening the lobby for public use
• Opening the locker rooms for limited public use
• Opening the indoor soaking pool for rent within household or family member groups
• Reinstating memberships and passes

As we hope to move forward to slowly reopening the Aquatic Center, we would love for our community to complete this survey so we can continue to provide better services.
