F Street Plaza Opens May 25th
Salida, Colorado-The City of Salida will be facilitating the expansion of outdoor dining and retail spaces into the public right-of-way on the F Street corridor, starting at Sackett Avenue and ending - at the alley between 2nd and 3rd Street. City Council will be discussing different ways to activate the plaza this year, like incorporating food carts, at the May 16th City Council meeting. The City is committed to researching all options and understanding points of view from you, the business owners and downtown merchants, an open comment period on May 16th. Written comments sent prior to the City Council meeting are welcome as well.
The closing of the F Street corridor will take place on the morning of Thursday, May 25th, and will remain in place for much of our summer to take advantage of Salida's excellent summer weather. The process for F Street businesses to utilize the public-right-of-way in front of their business is the same as previous years. Businesses should complete the City of Salida Application, remit a conceptual site plan, and return the signed Revocable License Agreement to the Clerk's Office, 448 E. 1st Street or email to deputyclerk@cityofsalida.com.
