How much are Salida’s tap fees?

As of February 1, 2016, a single family residential tap fee for water and sewer within the city limits is $14,070 or $16,006 if the property is located in the “high zone.” Most lots west of Holman Avenue are in the high zone, but check with city staff to be sure. The cost of a commercial tap depends upon the size on the line. Please refer to the Water and Tap Fees schedule for a complete listing of all categories of tap fees. Rates usually increase on January 1 of each year.

The costs to acquire a new tap include water resources, water plant investment, sewer system development and, depending upon the location of the property, a high zone development fees.
