E. Crestone Ave. Property Rezone and ROW Vacation Hearings Rescheduled to August 18th

The public hearings regarding the rezoning of a City-owned parcel at the corner of E. Crestone Ave and W. Third St. and the vacation of a portion of the E. Crestone Avenue right-of-way have been rescheduled to August 18th, 2020 in City Council Chambers at 6:00pm. The hearings were originally scheduled for August 4th but have been moved due to issues with public noticing. City Council will decide at the hearing whether to rezone the City parcel from Single-Family Residential (R-1) to Medium-Density Residential (R-2) and whether to vacate a portion of the E. Crestone Avenue right-of-way between W. Third Street and M Street, with the ultimate goal to create a consolidated site that could be developed with up to six affordable housing units. Subsequent approvals would be required for any such development.
