Hello business leaders!
In these tough times, we know that one of the deepest concerns of business owners is the health and well-being of your employees. You may still have staff on your payroll, or perhaps you’ve been forced to lay off or furlough workers. Either way, we know you’re care a great deal about their financial stability. We’re asking for your help in getting the word out about the funding available to them through the Chaffee County Community Foundation’s Emergency Response Fund.
The CCCF’s Emergency Response Fund was activated to support your employees and those like them and ensure they can stay in their homes, and return to work when the time is right. Through our partnership with DHS, we are filling gaps for those who need additional financial assistance during this tough time. In particular, our ERF is set up to get cash support to any individual or household that DHS cannot, as long as they are full-time residents of Chaffee County, have a demonstrable COVID-related need, and earn less than 120% AMI.
We are working hard to reach potential recipients to let them know that support is available through the ERF. That’s where you come in. Could you please share the information about the ERF with your employees or anyone you know who may need financial assistance, either by email or phone?
Our process has been streamlined to expedite funding; it is quick and easy for recipients. There are no interviews or lengthy applications. The initial inquiry only requires filling out a brief online form. Once DHS receives the form, they then share applicants with us who meet the ERF criteria. We have already been able to give more than $80,000 directly to over 140 applicant households (only two have been denied!) and have been able to approve their financial support within 48 hours of getting complete information.
As a business owner, thank you for your leadership in Chaffee County. For our future economic recovery, it is in all of our best interest that these financial resources are available and circulating in our community.
Thank you for your support and please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.
Chaffee County Community Foundation Director
