The Salida Police Department is seeking a new Code Enforcement Officer. The Code Enforcement Officer is responsible for enforcement pertaining to violations of the Municipal Code. Some main job functions include; property compliance, parking enforcement, animal control duties, issuing citations, writing detailed reports, coordinating inspections and investigations, and other duties as assigned.
Excellent computer and communication skills are a must. This position works closely with all City Departments and involves extensive public interaction. Must be able to work with little supervision, become knowledgeable and comfortable with the Municipal Code of the City of Salida, and work in conjunction with Salida Police Officers. This is a very mobile/active position and will require the ability to walk up to 5 miles per day, endure inclement weather, lift up to 75 lbs, and other strenuous activities. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Annual Salary is $37,459 – $41,000 depending on qualifications. This is a full time position with full benefits including medical, dental, vision and a retirement plan.
