Atmos Energy Crews Continue to Restore Natural Gas to Businesses,
Homes in Salida & Poncha Springs

SALIDA, Colo. (April 11, 2018) – Today more than 40 Atmos Energy crews are going
door-to-door to safely restore natural gas service to approximately 3,900 homes and
businesses throughout Salida and Poncha Springs, Colorado.
“We’ve made significant progress restoring natural gas service to customers in Poncha
Springs and Salida,” said Jennifer Altieri, Atmos Energy Director of Public Affairs.
“Service has been restored to the hospital and we currently have teams establishing
service at local schools and other key facilities to ensure their essential needs are met. In
addition, dozens of trained technicians continue to work in waves to restore service to
each neighborhood and business.”

Restoration Timeline
Due to the number of homes and businesses affected by this outage, the restoration
process may take several days to complete. Residents in the outage area are welcome to
stay in their homes while the restoration efforts continue and evacuations are
unnecessary. However, natural gas service will not be available until a trained technician
can safely relight appliances.
If you have an emergency and need immediate assistance, please call the Atmos Energy
emergency line at 1-866-322-8667.

Access to Your Property
An Atmos Energy technician will need to enter each home and business to reestablish
service. A resident 18 years of age or older will need to be present. If no one is present,
we will return later to restore service.
Our crews will work through the night. If residents are home and would like a technician
to relight appliances and turn on gas service, please leave an outside light on. A
technician will then knock to inquire if you are available. We appreciate your patience
and apologize for the inconvenience.
