Bids Accepted for the Water Treatment Facility Disinfection Improvements Project

Sealed Bids for the construction of the WATER TREATMENT FACILITY DISINFECTION IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT will be received by the City of Salida at the office of the City Public Works Building, 340 W. Highway 291, Salida, Colorado, 81201 until 2:00 PM local time on FRIDAY, MARCH 10, 2017, at which time the Bids received will be “publicly” opened and read.

The Project consists of constructing the following improvements to the existing water treatment facility: installation of ultraviolet (UV) disinfection equipment within existing filter effluent piping; installation of backup power generation equipment and, electrical and controls equipment and programming. This project is being funded in part by the Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) State Revolving Fund (SRF).

Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bid Bond, Performance, and Payment Bonds are required. The project is tax exempt; the contractor will be provided with the tax exempt number for materials purchases.

A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 2:00 PM local time on TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 2017 at the City of Salida Public Works Office, 340 W. HWY 291, Salida, CO 81201. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is mandatory.

Upon receipt of payment, a compact disc electronic copy of the Bidding Documents will be sent via the prospective Bidder’s delivery method of choice; the shipping charge will depend on the shipping method chosen.
