May Sales Tax Collections up 8%

Collections of the City of Salida’s 3% sales tax for the month of May totaled $408,439. This represents an increase of $30,175, or 8%, from May 2015. Year-to-date collections totaled $1,870,270, which was $117,143 or 6.7% greater than the same period a year ago.

Salida’s share of the Chaffee County tax for May was $129,804, an increase of $7,168 or 5.8%. Year-to-date collections totaled $597,136, which was $39,362 or 7.1% greater than the same period a year ago.
