Immediately following the snow removal from City streets, The Salida Public Works Department will be working to remove branches that were broken by heavy snow last night. The current priority is to clear City streets of snow and slush to ensure the safe travel of motorists and bicyclists using the streets.
The Public Works Department will be removing branches that have fallen from trees on City-owned property. Branches from trees on privately owned property will not be picked up by City Public Works crews during this clean-up process.
The Public Works disposal site will be open for disposal of branches off of private property, which is located on the south side of Hwy 50 approximately five-tenths of a mile west of County Rd 111. The gates will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., seven days a week. For more information, please contact the Public Works Department at 719-539-6257.
