Sealed BIDS for construction of the Salida-Poncha Manhole project will be received at the City Public Works Building 340 W Highway 291, Salida, CO 81201 until 10:00 AM September 22 2014 at which time they will be publicly opened and read.
This project is to raise the rims of 28 existing sanitary sewer manholes adjacent to US Highway 50 between Poncha Springs and Salida, Colorado. Rim elevations will be increased between 4 and 22 inches. All work to be performed within CDOT right-of-way.
A Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of bid price ,and Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of bid are required.
Mandatory Pre-Bid meeting will be held September 11th starting 10:00 AM at the Public Works Facility. A sign-in sheet will be available at the meeting to register firm attendance. It is the bidder’s responsibility to make certain their attendance is recorded on the sign-in sheet. Each individual may represent him/herself or a single company for the purpose of bidding. Signing the Pre-Bid Meeting attendance list to represent more than one person or company is not permitted. Failure to sign-in and sign-out, as directed by the Project Manager, will be cause for rejection of a bid.
The work of this project shall be completed no later than November 7th, 2014. The City reserves the right to reject any bids.
