What can we do to help? Make a donation!

The City of Salida is collecting donations for the American Red Cross Disaster Relief to help people affected by the many wildfires throughout the state. Donation cans are currently located at the Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center, Salida Fire Department and City Hall. The fundraising effort ends July 25, so we ask that you please stop by and give to those who are affected by disasters like the Waldo Canyon and High Park Fires.

Donations enable the Red Cross to prepare for and provide shelter, food, emotional support and other assistance in response to disasters.

If you are interested in having a donation can at your business, please contact Audrey Gilpin at 530-2630 or Laurie Todesco at 539-2212. The City will deliver a can to your business.

In addition, this week’s Thursdays at 6 Concert Series will feature latin rock group Jimi Trio at Riverside Park. All concerts are free, with donations this week collected for the American Red Cross fundraising effort. Let’s get together as a community and show support!
