Welcome to our new website!
This is the new official website for the municipal government of Salida, Colorado. The site is designed to efficiently disseminate information to residents and visitors in a spirit of transparency and cooperation. We have also posted additional applications and forms on the website as editable pdf files that can be emailed or printed and delivered to the appropriate department at the city.
You should find substantially all the information previously available on the old website plus more. Certain sections of the site are still “under construction.” We appreciate your patience as we continue to compile or create content that we believe will be helpful to those who visit this site. If you find important information is missing, please email us your suggestions for improvement.
Our home page is regularly updated each time a new public notice or news item is posted or a new weekly staff or mayoral column is released. You will also find a few photos that show the heart of our community.
Upcoming meetings and events are also featured on the home page. From this section of the website, you may access the schedule of city government meetings including official meetings of the city council, meetings of city boards and commissions, work sessions and intergovernmental meetings. Minutes and agendas for many of these meetings are also available for review.
Under the “Resources” section of the website, you will find an electronic copy of the municipal code, the meeting calendar, information about permits and licenses, a library of on-line documents and customer information about water and sewer services. We also provide links to the websites for the SteamPlant Event Center and Hot Springs Aquatic Center.
At the bottom of the website, we have provided “quick links” to information frequently requested from departments and a path to quickly find forms or report issues to the appropriate staff person.
The “pull down” menus provide a way to access specific information about projects, news & public notice archives, descriptions of the municipal government structure and general information about the city.
The section that will, in the future, provide a great deal of general information for the community about local resources, services, regular events, activities and much for is the “A to Z” list found under the Services and Information pull down.
The staff and elected officials of Salida strive to provide responsible governance and infrastructure to enable the city to flourish. We hope the information on this site furthers that mission.
