This project encompasses three parts: 1) new whitewater park features, 2) an extension of the trail through Riverside Park to D Street and a climbing wall in the park, and 3) bathrooms on the Coors Boat Ramp.
A $162,050 Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) grant and private contributions will pay two-thirds of the cost for these improvements.

Ribbon Cutting festivities for the Riverside Whitewater Park improvements will be held on Wednesday, July 14 at 5:30 pm. A climbing wall demonstration at 4:00 will precede the ribbon cutting. The improvements were funded in part by Great Outdoors Colorado and the Arkansas River Trust. The attached invitation contains full details.
