During the February 21st council meeting, Treasurer Rogers reported 2011 was a record year for sales tax. Salida collected $3,678,962 from sales within the City. This figure equates to taxable sales within the city of $122.6 million. Previously, the record for taxable sales was $122.1 million set in 2008.
