The public works department will have sections of Dodge Street (from Palmer to Caldwell) and Hunt Street (from Park Ave to Maxwell) closed on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (August 2 - 4) for continued work on the Dodge Street waterline.

The SteamPlant marked the 2nd anniversary of operation doing what it was intended to do, bringing guests to Chaffee County and hosting community events. Ribbon Cutting festivities for the Riverside Whitewater Park improvements will be held on Wednesday, July 14 at 5:30 pm. A climbing wall demonstration at 4:00 will precede the ribbon cutting. At this time the City of Salida does not have a general business license, but we do have Liquor Licenses, Special Events Liquor Permits, Peddlers, Solicitors, and Transient Merchants licenses, Arborist licenses, and Animal licenses.
