Salida - City Departments

The City has been awarded a grant from the Colorado Department of Local Affairs which will match city funds and allow for the improvements necessary to repair the delivery of hot water to the pool. An engineering feasibility study for possible improvements was completed in November of 2007 - Hot Water Line Remediation Feasibility Study. The City Council will discuss this study during their regular meeting on September 2nd.

On February 19, 2008 the City adopted a new master plan for parks, recreation, trails and open space. The City worked with GreenPlay, LLC on Salida's first comprehensive look at our parks, recreation, trails and open space. This plan examines our current facilities, citizen expectations, and our needs for the future. The entire plan is available here for review. The Chapter entitled "Suggested Focus" includes the recommendations for areas the City should focus on in the future.
