The City employs approximately 100 people. Of that number, about half are full-time positions with benefits and the remainder are part-time or seasonal jobs.

City Welcomes New Fire Chief and Public Works Director
The City of Salida would like to announce that Doug Bess has accepted the position of Salida Fire Chief. With the department since 1994, Bess has served as interim fire chief three times in the past, with the most recent as the interim following Don Taylor’s resignation.
