City Council has established certain boards and commissions that play an important advisory role and/or rule-making function in certain aspects of the municipal government. An overview of each board and commission can also be found on this site. Full details such as the purpose, membership, terms, appointments, and procedural details of each board or commissions are defined in Chapter 2 of the Salida Municipal Code.
In addition, special committees may be established for the purpose of advising the City Council, departments and department heads, or for the purpose of operating City enterprises or representing the interests of the City in various private enterprises.
