The purpose of this survey is to help citizens express their opinion on a variety of issues such as quality of life, recreation, public safety, in addition to public policy and capital expenditures. This information will help determine citizen priorities and guide policy for City services and improvements.
Previously conducted in 2009, 2012 and 2015, the survey is designed to determine public opinion using straightforward questions with simple “check-the-box” answers. The survey will be sent to every registered voter within the City and is available on Survey Monkey for online respondents. We will also have survey collection boxes at City Hall, Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center, Salida Regional Library, Brown Dog Coffee Company and Sweeties Sandwich Shop for people to return their surveys.
The City provides a variety of services in the community & the City Council values the input from these surveys in considering investment in current and new programs & facilities. Examples of municipal services include Public Safety (Police & Fire), Infrastructure Maintenance (Public Works), Arts & Recreation (Steamplant, Hot Springs Pool and Recreation Programs), Water & Wastewater Treatment, Parks & Trails, and many others.
This survey will help guide policy and budget decisions in the coming years. It is our hope that your participation will help create a better life for Salida residents and build the potential of our community.
