RE: Community Funding Requests – 2018
The City of Salida is pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications for Community Funding Requests for fiscal year 2018.
To be considered, interested parties must submit a completed application to the City of Salida no later than close of business on Friday, February 16, 2018. Applications need to include a financial summary of how the award will fit into the overall budget, program and/or project of the applicant’s organization.
Also, the City has updated its requirements and expectations to assure that the programs and projects funded make an effective, measurable, and positive impact in our community. These requirements and expectations have been categorized below:
- Agency – 501(c)(3) organizations such as associations and chambers, service clubs, museums, centers, councils, etc.
- Community Service – Groups or organizations that provide social service programs, special assistance or support, prevention programs, supplemental education, etc.
- Quality of Life – Groups or organizations that are involved in community improvement, arts & culture, etc.
Once all applications are received, they will be reviewed by a Staff Committee who will then make recommendations to City Council for final approval. Please note awards will be reimbursed to finalists only after they submit the Reimbursement form along with a final report detailing the effectiveness of the funded programs and/or projects. Requests for reimbursement must be received by the City’s Finance Department no later than December 1, 2018 to ensure reimbursement.
