To clarify, the City of Salida Fire Ban allows for operating a lawn mower, chainsaw, weed trimmer, leaf blower or similar gas powered device WITH AN APPROVED SPARK ARRESTOR. Interim Fire Chief Doug Bess said most devices are equipped with spark arrestors.
