Three trees will be removed from Centennial Park Sunday, April 29, 2012. The trees are located in front of the swimming pool building next to U.S. 50 and removal may hinder traffic for a period of time. Tree trimmers plan to start the removal at 6 a.m. and be finished before noon. The trees are either diseased or suffer from poor pruning practices; they are older trees and are subject to breakage. Therefore, removal is a safety issue. The large spruce in front of the pool building will be pruned to hinder the tree from falling during high winds; it will not be removed.
