New Faces at the City

The City of Salida welcomes three new employees.

John Oliver Williams from Eagle, Colorado started Wednesday, February 8, as the new Salida Police Officer. A graduate of Colorado Mountain College Colorado Law Enforcement Academy, Williams said, “I’m excited to be here and meet community members. I’m ready to get started on the job.”

On having Williams join the department, Police Chief Terry Clark said, “I know he will make a fine officer and member of our community.” Williams can be contacted by calling the police department at 530-2600.

Kathy Davis-Peter was hired February 9 as Accountant I. From February 2008 to December 2010, Davis-Peter worked for the City of Salida Finance Department as a Utilities Clerk. “It’s good to be back and working with the public,” she said. Davis-Peter can be contacted by calling 530-2621.

The City Recreation department hired Scott Sailors February 8 as the Front Desk Coordinator for the Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center. Sailors moved to Salida in 2005 from Kansas City, MO. He said he’s looking forward to “making a connection with and investment in the community.”
