Public Works Municipal Worker

The City of Salida Public Works department is seeking a Municipal Worker to join our team!

Municipal Worker II, III and IV candidates will be considered, see the full job descriptions at the links below for education and experience requirements for each level.

This position performs a wide variety of manual labor and semi-skilled work related to the operation of construction equipment and machinery utilized in the construction, maintenance and repair of the City streets, alleys, water and waste water lines and general public works. Demonstrates proficiency with the duties of a Municipal Worker 1. As a member of the public works organization, this position may be called out to assist with other City infrastructure maintenance and improvement projects from time to time. Must be able to work nights, shifts, holidays, weekends as assigned.

Salary Range, dependent on job level:

Municipal Worker II $39,244 to $54,942 Annually. Hiring range up to $47,093 Annually.

Municipal Worker III $46,740 to $65,436 Annually. Hiring range up to $56,088 Annually.

Municipal Worker IV $55,258 to $77,361 Annually. Hiring range up to $66,309 Annually.
